No Port in a Storm

A chain of true and enthralling stories from around the world about the crews of lightships who spent the bulk of their working lives compelled to scan the same water and stretch of coastline. They had no choice but to take on typhoons, hurricanes, grinding ice and a host of other hazards. The men and lightships were partners, combining to offer relief, hope and life itself to those in dangerous waters. Invariably painted a gaudy red, lightships evoke none of the usual romantic images of ships and yet may be the noblest of all. Surveying Blücher wreck

During World War II, the Blücher sank in the Oslo Fiord and currently, it lies on 75m depth. This movie shows a survey of this wreck, using a RESON SeaBat 7125 multi-beam sonar.
