What is Skilltrade?

A company that specialises in hydrographic training and courses for the hydrographic survey, dredging and offshore construction industry since 2000. Courses and training developed by people who gained their experience in the field and taught by those same individuals. The heart of the company is that the skills its people posses can be traded or exchanged with others, thus improving their hydrographic knowledge and understanding.

Skilltrade can provide courses and training in six areas by combining theoretical with field experience material:

1. Hydrography course - recognition by the IHO (International Hydrographic Office) for this Class "B" Hydrography course is ongoing in cooperation  with STC bv.
2. Introduction & normal courses in Hydrography, Landsurvey, Positioning and Mathematics, Depth sensors, Motion sensors, Survey sensors, Underwater acoustics, Offshore Construction. Advanced courses in geophysical sensors, ROV sensors or electronic trouble shooting.
3. General courses in Project Management, international business and change management.
4. Support to in-house training programs with respect to Hydrography and underwater techniques.
5. ROV pilot technician training (based upon IMCA grade-II)
6. Survey Engineer training (based upon IMCA grade-II)

Flexibility of Skilltrade lies in the fact that we are working towards the recognition of a Class -B- Hydrography course which can be taught in the Netherlands or possibly elsewhere in the world. We can provide this full module or you can choose from the various available courses like the introduction courses, survey sensors and advanced courses. The courses have a set lay-out and can also be combined. We evaluate participants at what level to start as a result of which we are able to tailor or combine the courses like building blocks. Even when people come to a stage where more management or project skills are required we are able to provide the next level.
