Call for Papers: Digital Hydrography on the Maritime Web Conference

The Hydrographic Society UK has issued a call for papers to be presented at its two-day international conference on Digital Hydrography on the Maritime Web, at Southampton Solent University Conference Centre from 29 to 30 October 2013. The event is supported by both the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) and the International Federation of Hydrographic Societies (IFHS).

Main conference topics are operational survey techniques, charting & data quality, innovative data processing & products, and end users’ perspectives. Abstracts of presentations of not more than 250 words on any of the topics or related issues are required by the Organising Committee by no later than 31 July 2013.

Opening with addresses from IHO and IFHS officials and featuring several keynote speakers throughout, proceedings will cover progress and further initiatives to be taken by the hydrographic community in support of continuing development of the Maritime Web, more commonly known as e-Navigation. The agenda, which will be of particular interest to mariners and the wider maritime community including equipment manufacturers and academia, will also feature a series of joint IHO-IFHS stakeholder forums at which all interested parties are invited to contribute.
