‘Elegantly simple’ Pile Dredge Tool

Seatools is to launch the Pile Dredge Tool (PDT), a pile cleaning and dredging tool and capable of removing soil plugs and cleaning of pre-piled jackets, such as commonly found in the offshore wind industry. The system can be used for all kinds of other pile excavation operations as well, for example when preparing piles prior to abandonment operations.

According to managing director Jan Frumau, Seatools has developed and reviewed several concepts for a pile dredge tool, leading to this elegantly simple pile excavation machine. Its simplicity results in low cost and high reliability, coupled with high excavation rates. He believes this tool can become the new standard and existing clients already have expressed very positive feedback.

Seatools is represented in the Holland Pavilion during the OTC trade show, Stand 2517.

Seatools is known for its Rock Installation ROVs and has its roots in the dredging industry. Its portfolio of dredging equipment includes: mass flow excavators; a range of trenchers with both jetting and cutting configurations; and the series of DipMate dredging visualisation and control systems.
