HYSWEEP Multi-beam Training Course

Swathe Services has teamed up with HYPACK to offer a 'hands on' practical multi-beam training course designed to cover equipment installation, integration and calibration through to data acquisition and post processing. The event is scheduled from 16-20 November 2015, taking place in Truro, UK.

This 5-day course is designed to take surveyors with relatively little experience and get them up to speed on best practice, do’s and don’ts and how to avoid typical pitfalls. Training will be conducted by Joe Burnett from Hypack, Adrian Gibbons from Applanix and James Williams from Swathe Services. Shore based training will be conducted in Swathe Services offices in Truro, Cornwall, UK and water-based training will be conducted on a local survey vessel based at Mylor Yacht Harbour.

Offsets, patch test routines, GAMS calibration and online QC will all form an important part of this training.

Additional social activities will also include a visit to the Cornish seaside town of St. Ives, a brewery tour around the Skinners Brewery and an evening out in the historic town of Truro all making for a west of England experience.
