Survey Vessel 'FeliX' Operational

iXblue has christened its new survey vessel 'FeliX', a 25m catamaran developed for hydrographic, biological and oceanographic surveys. Her composite construction houses innovative techniques, responding to scientific and economical requirements.

FeliX is described as agile in her movements, while at the same time being respectful towards the environment. The hull will not corrode as she is made of composites. She is also very maintenance friendly. The fuel consumption also is reduced. The shape and materials used make the vessel to have a low acoustic noise emission, contributing to good imagery.

This makes the vessel versatile. She is adapted for high seas and coastal zones, allowing for a wide range of hydrographic, biological and oceanographic missions.

The hydrographic platform is extended, of course including iXBlue equipment. The iXSurvey division of iXBlue has an overview of the expectations clients have, thus allowing to anticipate to specific requirements. The sensors have been taken care of by the Sonar division of iXBlue. FeliX demonstrates herself as a showcase of iXBlue’s know-how in various disciplines from concept to survey.
