Osiris Projects Joins Bibby Marine
Bibby Marine, UK, has finalised the acquisition of hydrographic and geophysical survey firm Osiris Projects. The relationship between the two firms developed during the commissioning of specialist survey vessel Bibby Tethra in 2011, when they recognised that there was significant potential for synergies.
Osiris Projects has become a leading provider of services to the UK offshore wind industry, having had involvement in the majority of Rounds 1 & 2 sites, as well as a number of Scottish licensing areas and Round 3 sites. The company has expanded its offshore wind operations into Northern Europe with a recent cable route survey for TenneT Offshore GmbH in the German Bight region.
As a multi-disciplinary company with over 200 years’ experience in the maritime industry, Bibby's diversification into offshore renewables is a natural progression of its core activities, and provides a valuable opportunity for the firm to share its expertise.
Osiris Projects was established in 1997 by directors Andrew McLeay and Jim Walters, who will both remain with the company in a management capacity-instilling a number of values that are congruent with those of Bibby: a focus on real integrity in all elements of the business, providing a safe and positively challenging environment for employees, embracing change and driving innovation, while placing customers firmly at the core.
