Wherever Van Oord works in the world, they need to measure their working areas. The Survey department supplies all the positioning services, hydrographical and surveying services needed to accurately carry out dredging work, offshore and coastal protection projects.

As project Surveyor you will be responsible for initiating, setting up and executing all hydrographical surveying work on site. This starts with outlining a Survey work method and then mobilising and installing the necessary Survey equipment and software. After carrying out the Field Checks you collect relevant information for the project and present these in reports to the project management and production vessels. You design models, calculate volumes and register the results. You keep up a Survey administration and maintain your equipment. You consult with the client regarding the Survey technical aspects of the works with the purpose of getting approval for the submitted Survey results. You work with advanced software and Survey equipment to make sure that the data are available quickly and accurately.

Profile

• - You have a higher degree in Hydrography or equivalent, a VOL VCA diploma would be an asset;
• - You have several years relevant work experience and a driving license B;
• - You are independent,focused on results, ateam player with perseverance;
• - You have strong analytical and communications skills, and are accurate;
• - You are fluent in English and live in the Netherlands or are willing to move to the Netherlands.
