Job reference number DEV/GDA/HI Job Description This role is primarily responsible for developing, maintaining and enhancing our Geographical Information Systems (GIS) service to our clients, through our products AutoChart, VisualGIS and HydroGIS. The developer will have full life cycle involvement, from requirement analysis through to deployment of GIS application solutions. Day to day activities will include envisioning, designing and developing solutions using Microsoft, ESRI and Autodesk technologies. To be considered, you will be able to demonstrate strong development experience in the .NET Framework as well as ArcObjects. Requirements • Proven Experience of Windows programming with the .NET Framework • Solid Knowledge of ESRI's ArcObjects • Visual Studio 2008 / Team Foundation Server experience is desirable • Degree/HND in computer science, geography, surveying, or a GIS-related field • Ability to clearly analyse/describe a problem and propose a solution • Excellent problem solving, design, development, and debugging skills • Ability to work with a team in a constantly challenging environment • Valid documentation to work in the UK
