The Metocean, Mapping and Geotechnics sector is responsible for establishing the engineering base, onshore and offshore, relating to: metocean data (current data, meteorological data), topography (incl documentation of upper sediment layers) and geotechnical factors.
MMG is a centre for the administration of geographical information and provides various products and services related to maps/charts and the visualisation of map data. In this way the sector assists in early phase evaluations, engineering and installation work in connection with developments, both offshore and onshore. MMG also provides services in the prospecting phase relating to the analysis of geographical information and geohazard assessments.

Typical tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Planning and implementation of seabed surveys, pipeline inspections and support for development projects
- Follow-up of contractors/subcontractors
- Follow-up of internal clients (projects)
- Quality control of data collection and products
- Participate in audits and verifications
- Participating in the further development of technology and work processes

Education:
- Higher education/MSc or equivalent, specialising in one or more of the following disciplines: geodesy, geophysics, hydrographic mapping, land surveying or electronics
Experience:
- At least 5 years' relevant experience from a technical or administrative field
- Experience from mapping and surveying
- Experience from computerised data collection and processing in the specialist areas mentioned above
- Experience from geographic information systems (GIS)
