PDS2000 Hopper GMS for Dutch Dredging24/01/2008 |
| Dutch Dredging has awarded RESON Rotterdam a contract to upgrade their existing Guidance and Monitoring Systems (GMS) aboard the ship TSHD Amazone to that of PDS2000 Hopper. |
|
Dutch Dredging uses PDS2000 for over 6 years now for all their hydrographic surveys using single-beam and SeaBat multi-beam echosounders. Survey data such as DTM's, project data and data-files can be easily exchanged between PDS2000 Survey and PDS2000 Hopper without having to carry out time consuming conversions.

RESON has supplied and installed the software and the interfaces to the existing sensors. The operators are pleased with the fast update rate of the screens and the position accuracy of both the tube and the head. The Amazone is also fitted with the latest PDS2000 software for DLM (Draft Load Monitoring) and TDS (Tons Dry Sediment). These two modules provide the operator with information about load, draft, tons dry solids, and reporting.
