UUVS 08 Call for Papers14/02/2008 |
| UUVS08 will be the 11th in a series of annual conferences and exhibitions devoted to the Unmanned Underwater Vehicle. Up until now the papers have been by invitation. This year, for the first time, UUVS are making an open call as well as soliciting papers in order to ensure that we cover the latest developments. |
|
The theme this year will be: 'The Digital Ocean: Solutions, Technology and Experience'.
The conference, as usual, will seek to bring the latest developments in technology and operations (warts and all) across all areas of commercial, scientific and military use. Reed Exhibitions will also be repeating this year the successful session on 'Gadgets & Widgets' in which developers can present new nuggets of technology in a quick fire (7 min per presentation) format. Doing so, UUVS offers an opportunity to bring your latest ideas, developments and experience in Unmanned Underwater Vehicle technology to the notice of the growing number of people who are looking for autonomous solutions to their challenges.
Short abstracts are requested by 7 March 2008 to be emailed to Ian Gallett.
There will also be an opportunity to publish suitable papers more formally in the peer-reviewed SUT Journal Underwater Technology or, with a less formal approach, through the SUT's magazine UT2.
