Marport Appoints Sales Manager27/02/2008 |
| Marport has appointed Mr. Patrick Belen to the position of Sales Manager, Commercial Fisheries. Patrick will operate from Marport's office in Snohomish, Washington from where he will grow sales and distribution channels in the North and South American commercial fishing markets. |

He will build Marport's relationship with fisheries research organisations and also pursue a variety of strategic partnering opportunities. Patrick is experienced in underwater acoustics technology including trawl monitoring systems, echosounders and sonar equipment.
Prior to joining Marport he was engaged in a variety of sales management positions with Simrad USA. From 2000 - 2008, he was responsible for commercial fisheries sales in the USA West Coast, Alaska and South American markets. He has managed the Simrad USA fisheries sales distribution network and has actively participated in new product introductions.
He has an associate degree in Electronic Technology from the Instituto Don Orione, Buenos Aires, Argentina (1975) and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Miami (1981).
