North-seeking Gyrocompass

OceanTools has launched their MircoFOG north-seeking fibre-optic gyrocompass. MicroFOG delivers a wide range of parameters including heading, pitch, roll, rate information in three axes, accelerations and, shortly will include heave measurements.

The 3000m standard depth rated unit measures just 210mm in diameter and 360mm ling. The first production run of five units have already been sold with the US-based distributor SES.
