| In November 2006, the French Gendarmerie in Strasbourg, France, purchased a Centurion, 900/1800 kHz splashproof system. Since the completion of their training the French Gendarmerie have been extremely successful in locating vehicles, drowning victims, and miscellaneous items in the rivers and lakes in their areas of responsibility. | |

The intention of the French Gendarmerie is to scan all of their waterways, locate targets and then physically remove them. It is a large task and the below videos, although in the French language, still are able to show the tremendous success they have had in their efforts of locating and removing items and in the end solving a significant number of "Cold Case" crimes.
As part of the sale officers from the French Gendarmerie, German and Swiss Police, received on-site classroom and on-water instruction in Strasbourg, France, and on the Rhine River.

To date they have found the following victims/items: 5 drowning/homicide victims (several were found in the vehicles recovered); 286 cars/trucks including one truck involved in a bank robbery; 105 small ships, sail and motor vessels; 505 various items to include weapons, bank safes, bicycles, scooters, anchors, etc. Some of the items found were inside the recovered vehicles.
