| This week Webb Research Corporation (WRC) will ship its 5000th variable buoyancy float. This design originated in the late 1980s, first as the ALACE float, widely used in the World Ocean Circulation Experiment. In recent years, WRC has provided over 2000 APEX profilers to customers in 19 nations, in support of the international ARGO program. | |
