| Swathe Services, a UK specialist subcontractor to the hydrographic industry has opened up an office in Australia to expand operations globally. Swathe Services Australia (SSA), operating under the same business model as the UK will provide a specialist hydrographic service to the hydrographic industry. |

SSA commenced operations in January 2008; contracts have already been successfully completed in Australia for Tenix LADS and in India for Horizon Surveys. A contract supporting Aramco in Saudi Arabia is presently ongoing. Contracts with Jan De Nul, an existing client of Swathe Services UK, have been secured for May and June in Sydney and Port Headland, Australia. Neil Hewitt, director and manager of SSA has the support of co-directors James Williams and Mike Caraher from Swathe Services UK. Together, both companies are capable of offering an efficient global service supplying professional personnel and hydrographic survey equipment.
