Official supporters of the event, which is being staged at the historic Britannia Adelphi Hotel in Europe's present Capital of Culture and is expected to attract well over 300 international delegates, include Ocean Business 2009, Seawork 2008 International, International Ocean Systems and Ocean Scientific Instruments Ltd (OSIL).
Meanwhile, a conference programme comprising papers presented by leading specialists under the theme, New Opportunities, is currently being finalised. Many submissions from worldwide contributors are already under consideration, but the organisers would still be pleased to receive additional 300-word abstracts for presentations in the specific fields of Acoustics, Offshore Oil & Gas Applications, Environmental Impact Assessment, and Renewable Energy Support. They can still be considered until 30 May. Submissions can be filed via email to <papers@hydro8.org.uk>.
Attractive sponsorship opportunities are also available for interested companies or organisations, with Applied Acoustic Engineering having recently announced that it is to sponsor an opening Ice Breaker reception for exhibitors and delegates.
Full details of Hydro8, which will also include workshops and demonstrations, vessel tours and technical visits as well as a conference dinner in Liverpool's celebrated Georgian Town Hall, an evening in the Merseyside Maritime Museum and visits to the City's two Premier League football clubs, are available on a dedicated website.
