| L-3 Klein has received an award from a major Port Authority which augments Harbor and Port Security with the use of dual Klein Model 5000 Side Scan Sonar Systems. Port Authorities in a number of cities throughout the US have previously awarded L-3 Klein contracts to supply Side Scan Sonar equipment for use in and around harbors and ports. |

The Klein Side Scan Sonar systems are used to identify potential underwater threats, such as Improvised Explosive Devices (IED), to commercial shipping. It is well understood that any underwater threat, whether real or perceived, would cause major disruptions to port activities as well as create unacceptable harm to our economy. Use of Klein's side scan sonar's on a continual basis in harbors is one more tool that is available in keeping our water ways and ports open.
