SUT Business Development Executive

  27/06/2008
The Society for Underwater Technology (SUT) is pleased to announce that Mr Bill Anderson has joined SUT in the role of Business Development Executive for Scotland and the Northeast of England, with specific focus on the oil and gas community. Having recently retired from Kongsberg Maritime, where he was latterly the Product Manager Drilling Support CCTV Systems, Bill brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and personal contacts to his post with the SUT.

Ian Gallett, Chief Executive of SUT says that Bill will be 'on the road' shortly, meeting with existing and potential Members of the SUT to gather their views on how Member Services can be enhanced and to bring them fully up to speed with the latest SUT offerings for improving the wider community knowledge as related to the underwater environment.

Bill Anderson's role will include providing details of the latest 1-day course being offered by SUT entitled 'Introduction to Subsea Facilities', which has been specifically developed to provide an insight into Operator and Contractor staff engaged in dealing with subsea plant, but who may never have actually been privy to the type of hardware that is on the seabed and delivers the hydrocarbons to the topside reception facilities of the platform.

Based in Aberdeen, Bill will report to the Chief Executive of SUT Ian Gallett, at the SUT head office in London, but he can be contacted either through the London office, or the Aberdeen office, where Events Manager Michele Ross is also based. Bill will also be a regular participant at the very successful series of evening meetings organised by the Aberdeen branch of the SUT.
