  26/08/2008
Triton Group has has completed the deal to acquire VisualSoft - its eighth acquisition since forming in 2007. The deals to date are worth, in total, more than GBP100 million. Privately-owned VisualSoft employs nine people with a GBP2.7 million turnover and is active in digital video inspection systems which have a proven track record in the offshore inspection and survey market.

With 300 systems in the field worldwide, VisualSoft sells and rents their systems which offer a complete solution for underwater video capture, playback and reporting of pipeline and structural inspection survey data.

Demo of RIEGL Airborne Bathy Scanner in Camcopter UAV

It's not an AUV but an UAV. So an unmanned vehicle, but in the air instead of underwater. This movie shows a demonstration of the bathymetric laser scanning capabilities of the RIEGL VQ-820-GU hydrographic airborne sensor in reality. For more information on the technical side, please see the news release on Hydro International.
