| Sonardyne International Ltd has promoted Spencer Collins to the position of senior vice president, international strategic sales. Spencer joined Sonardyne in 1999, establishing the company's operational support and sales office in Brazil. Relocating to Houston in 2004, Spencer has added tremendous value to the growth of the region as VP Americas. |

In his new role, Spencer will make a critical contribution not only to the future strategy but also to the achievement of the company's objectives for continued growth in the offshore oil and gas business across the world. Spencer will take personal responsibility for key strategic sales and he will also work closely with the Sonardyne Group board to establish the future direction of the company's core business activities.
Spencer will continue to be based in Sonardyne's Houston offices and will report directly to the company's UK group sales director, Richard Binks.

Hydrographic Survey for Riverbed Erosion |
U.S. Geological Survey were out on the Missouri River at Williston, North Dakota, USA, performing a hydrographic survey to monitor the state of riverbed erosion. They were using a multibeam echo sounder which transmits sound energy and analyzes the return signal (echo) that has bounced off the riverbed or other objects. Multibeam sonars emit sound waves from directly beneath a ship's hull to produce fan-shaped coverage of the riverbed.
