Hemisphere GPS Awarded

At a gala awards presentation on 24th October 2008, Hemisphere GPS was announced winner of the Alberta Science and Technology (ASTech) Leadership Foundation Award for its outstanding commercial achievement in science and technology in the businesses over USD25 million category. The ASTech Awards are among the highest honors available to individuals and organisations whose outstanding work has had an impact on science, technology, business, medicine, the environment and the lives of people in Alberta and worldwide.
 

"To receive this type of recognition is icing on the cake for all of us," says Steven Koles, President and CEO of Hemisphere GPS. "The company's performance and growth over the past few years are due to our team of hard-working individuals who have striven for achievement in product innovation and development. This is a tremendous honor for us."

 

Earlier this month, Hemisphere GPS was also recognised by the Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters and the National Research Council of Canada for its innovative Crescent GPS Technology. On 16th October 2008, Hemisphere GPS was announced winner of the 2008 Innovation Award for New Technology for Western Canada.

 

The 2008 Innovation Award recognises innovative excellence in the development, adoption and application of new technology in processes or products by Canadian manufacturers and exporters. Hemisphere GPS' Crescent technology is a leading L1 GPS technology known for its superior accuracy and robustness with exclusive patented techniques. Hemisphere GPS has shipped over 100,000 GPS receivers with the Crescent technology into a multitude of precision positioning, navigation and machine control applications.
