New AC-ROV Distributors

  19/12/2008
AC-CESS has signed international distribution agreements with two market leading companies: Seavision Technologies (Newcastle, Australia) and ROVTS in Korea.

Seavision is the equipment and component supply arm of ATSA Defence Services. Founded in 2000 as a service partner for Royal Australian Navy, ATSA combines innovation and expertise to deliver solutions for technological applications involving world leading advanced electronic systems. Having taken delivery of their first AC-ROV, Seavision Technologies primary focus is the supply of equipment deployed in harsh military maritime environments. Mr Darren Burrowes, ATSA Marketing Director, is very enthusiastic about his latest project; "The AC-ROV gives a whole new meaning to the phrase ‘portable ROV capability'. We can now offer a robust field proven underwater inspection system that allows unrivalled mobility and ingress capability all in a single hand carry case."

Representing the AC-ROV in the Republic of Korea, ROV Technology Service (ROVTS) is the country's leading ROV & AUV consultancy company, with extensive experience in the military, nuclear and oceanographic sectors. Having taken delivery of their demonstration unit, ROVTS has got off to a flying start with the sale of an AC-ROV system to the Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power CO., LTD (KHNP).

Purchased to carry out vital inspection work at nuclear power plants, its primary role is the internal inspection of emergency water tanks that are activated in the event of a fire in the nuclear reactor.

The AC-ROV has proved so successful in this role that KHCP will take delivery of a second system in first quarter 2009. This will be the third AC-ROV delivered to the Korean nuclear industry.
