| Coda Octopus Martech has recently completed the acquisition of Dragon Design Limited also based in Weymouth. Dragon Design specialises in quick turnaround electronic manufacture, system prototyping and circuit board assembly and supplies a diverse range of companies in industrial, commercial and defence sectors in the UK, Europe and Asia. |

Employing a staff of 13, Dragon's facilities include semi-automated and manual surface mount technology (SMT) assembly, aimed at low to medium volume production, and rapid response cable assembly.
This acquisition will greatly enhance Martech's electronic manufacturing and rapid prototyping capabilities. Founded in 1988 as Martech Systems, CodaOctopus Martech provides engineered solutions for demanding applications in the defence, aerospace, medical, nuclear and offshore industries including development of special test equipment, custom control and instrument systems and complete product design. Martech joined the CodaOctopus Group in 2006.
Dragon Design Founders, Steve Groves and Dave Price, together with 11 staff will remain with Dragon to ensure total continuity and customer satisfaction. Martech Directors, Barry Brookes and Paul Baxter, and the entire Martech team will assist with growing the business.
