Subsea UK chairman Alistair Birnie said: "These awards are an opportunity for the subsea profession to recognise those high-flying organisations and individuals who have shown flair, creativity and vision in our industry.

"The subsea sector is full of talented professionals with the ability and desire to take the industry into a new era, both in terms of technology and performance and we look forward to announcing the winners."

The Subsea 09 conference - Exploiting the Potential - takes place on February 11 and 12 at the AECC where protecting investment, the use of innovative technology and cross-industry collaboration in helping exploit the potential of the UK Continental Shelf will all come under the microscope.

Featuring cutting-edge technology and the latest innovations and services from more than 100 exhibitors, delegates will hear presentations from PetroCanada, Triton Group, Subsea 7, Simmons & Co, Technip, Douglas Westwood, Expro Group, SPT Group, MCS and Schlumberger Subsea Surveillance amongst others.
