Management Changes at IHC Engineering Business

EB now has nearly 200 people working at the company, predominantly graduate professional engineers.

Scott Boyes joined EB as a Project Manager, from Advanced Engineering Solutions in August 2007 and was appointed Engineering Manager in 2008. His experience over the past two years has given him valuable knowledge of the wide range of EB's business activities and ways of doing business including the design cycle from concept to offshore support. His responsibilities are wide ranging and include the management and delivery of engineering, production activities, and commissioning/offshore support.

Ben Webster has been with EB since early 2006 working as Business Developer with responsibility across all industries served by EB. He gained a 1st Class Masters degree in Marine Technology at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. Completion of his degree saw him becoming project engineer of a 'Guide to Small Craft Regulations' (University of Newcastle upon Tyne in conjunction with Royal Institute of Naval Architects); he then became an Educational Consultant developing and delivering specialist courses for the MTEC@Work programme.

Running in parallel Ben led EU funded research into advanced motion reduction systems for ships. He took this from prototype to full commercial offering, initially as Project Manager of IntelliStab and Coordinator of a EUR2M development project on behalf of four project partner companies from UK, Denmark and Spain; and ultimately as a Director of the organisation responsible for commercialisation of an innovative ship stabilisation product.
