50th UHD ROV Ordered

  09/09/2009
Schilling Robotics have received an order for its 50th UltraHeavy-Duty (UHD) Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) by C-Innovation. The vehicle is due to be delivered by the end of 2009. The first UHD ROV was delivered four years ago.

The UHD incorporates ROV automation technologies, which help improve the efficiency of ROV operations. Schilling's approach to the ROV controls architecture enables full system redundancy, clear visual system diagnostics, and modular expandability.

Schilling UHD's are owned and operated by several global ROV operating companies, including Acergy UK, Ltd., Bourbon Subsea Services, C-Innovation, Global Industries, Phoenix International, DOF Subsea, and Allseas.
