Geometius Celebrates 15th Anniversary

  23/11/2009
On the 1st of December 2009, Geometius will celebrate its 15th anniversary. Geometius was the first company in the Netherlands to focus on selling and supporting RTK-GPS commercially. This was a bold step at that time, as back in 1994 this technology had yet to prove itself.

Over the past 15 years Geometius has developed into a strong company operating from three locations and employing 30 people. As part of the celebrations, Geometius will be supporting three charities: SOS Kinderdorpen, Nederlandse Rode Kruis and Natuurmonumenten. Customers and business relations of Geometius will receive a letter containing further information.

See the company website for more information.

Demo of RIEGL Airborne Bathy Scanner in Camcopter UAV

It's not an AUV but a UAV. So an unmanned vehicle, but in the air instead of underwater. This movie shows a demonstration of the bathymetric laser scanning capabilities of the RIEGL VQ-820-GU hydrographic airborne sensor in reality. For more information on the technical side, please see the news release on Hydro International.
