| ODIM Brooke Ocean has received an order for an ODIM MVPTM200 from the Institute of Oceanology of Chinese Academy Science. Institute of Oceanology of Chinese Academy Science has placed the order via Laurel Technologies Company Limited for an ODIM MVP200 with a Multi Sensor Free Fall Fish (MSFFF). |

The multi-sensor multi-purpose system configuration will consist of an ODIM MVP200 with an AML micro CTD, a Wetlab ECO Flurometer, and a Seapoint Turbidity sensor; all installed on the MSFFF. The system will enable the Institute of Oceanology to collect real-time vertical water column information to aid in their oceanographic research.

Hydrographic Survey of Riverbed Erosion |
Members of the US Geological Survey were filmed while out on the Missouri River at Williston, North Dakota, USA, performing a hydrographic survey to monitor the state of riverbed erosion. They were using a multibeam echo sounder which transmits sound energy and analyses the return signal (echo) that has bounced off the riverbed or other objects. Multibeam sonars emit sound waves from directly beneath a ship's hull to produce fan-shaped coverage of the riverbed.
