Coda Seismic+ at Subsea 2010

CodaOctopus is to introduce the Coda Survey Engine Seismic+ during Subsea 2010. The company also is reviewing the developments in Echoscope 3D Real-Time Sonar technology and demonstrate how the system can enhance subsea visualisation.



Subsea 2010 takes place on 10th & 11th February at the AECC in Aberdeen, CodaOctopus is on booth D2.

 

At the one-day International Subsea Conference on 10th February, managing director Stephen Auld, is to present a technical paper. Entitled "Innovation in Underwater Construction and its Application in Subsea Energy: Benefits of High Definition 3D Imaging in Real-Time," the paper includes movie clips, images and application details which illustrate this unique technology. It is scheduled at 12 midday, during Session 2 (conference programme).

Hydrographic Survey of Riverbed Erosion

Members of the US Geological Survey were filmed while out on the Missouri River at Williston, North Dakota, USA, performing a hydrographic survey to monitor the state of riverbed erosion. They were using a multibeam echo sounder which transmits sound energy and analyses the return signal (echo) that has bounced off the riverbed or other objects. Multibeam sonars emit sound waves from directly beneath a ship's hull to produce fan-shaped coverage of the riverbed.
