Far-reaching Exhibition at Oceanology International 201009/02/2010 |
| Over 500 suppliers of the latest technology and service developments covering every element of marine science and ocean technology will gather in a month's time in London for Oceanology International 2010 being held at ExCeL in London's Docklands from 9th to 11th March. |

Oceanology International has been serving the community for over 40 years, and this year's exhibition is the largest ever held, with pavilions from Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, The Netherlands and individual exhibitors from nearly 30 countries.
"Every gamut of marine science and ocean technology is extensively covered within the exhibition," explains Event Manager, James Coleman. "As the need for a more thorough understanding of the oceans, deep water processes and their relation to the exploitation of marine-based energy and global climate becomes more apparent, Oceanology International successfully serves an ever-wider range of users and industries.
"These encompass aquaculture to renewable energy, marine construction to offshore oil and gas, protection of the marine environment to ports and harbours, homeland security to military needs - and much more besides. Our website carries extensive lists of users' business sectors and areas of interest covered within the show.
"Exhibits cover everything from satellites in outer space, providing observations, modelling and analysis of marine and ocean variables to diving, remotely operated vehicles and other subsea activity. Our exhibitors are continually contributing to an ever-growing preview section on our website highlighting new products and services that will be showcased at ExCeL in early March."
Admission to all elements of Oceanology International is free of charge and online registration is open.
The biennial event also features a milestone technical conference with day-long streams on Navigation & Positioning, Marine Environment, Ocean Observation & Forecasting, Hydrography/Geophysics, and Geotechnics. It also attracts vessels of many disciplines from around the world to demonstrate new technologies and host networking functions - the event is noted for networking opportunities; associated meetings from dozens of industry associations, work groups and end-user organisations; and hosts a Careers Day for those looking for a career in the rapidly expanding sectors it represents.
