SeaBat User Group Seminar

Reson is to present some highly respected and inspiring speakers to share their experience with SeaBat sonar systems. There will be exciting presentations from a number of SeaBat users including ADUS, University of Leeds, C&C Technologies, Port of London, IVS 3D, Marine Scotland, L-3 Nautronix and Dredging International. Afterwards there will be presentations about new services, applications and technological developments within the company's range of multibeam sonar systems.

 

SeaBat User Group Meeting

The seminar takes place at Hilton London Canary Wharf Hotel 8th March, which is the day before Oceanology nternational 2010. The seminar is free of charge for potential and current SeaBat users.

During Oceanology International 9th - 11th March, it is possible to join a SeaBat demo tour on board the Port of London vessel, Yantlet. Tours can be booked at the Reson stand G100, which also offers the opportunity to meet the staff for further discussions and enjoy a fresh brewed coffee at the Reson café.

Hydrographic Survey of Riverbed Erosion

Members of the US Geological Survey were filmed while out on the Missouri River at Williston, North Dakota, USA, performing a hydrographic survey to monitor the state of riverbed erosion. They were using a multibeam echo sounder which transmits sound energy and analyses the return signal (echo) that has bounced off the riverbed or other objects. Multibeam sonars emit sound waves from directly beneath a ship's hull to produce fan-shaped coverage of the riverbed.
