The purpose of the survey is to determine the ecological, ground conditions and installation for the design and installation of the interconnector cable.

MMT's survey vessel Ice BeamThe scope of the contract includes Geotechnical, Geophysical, Benthic and Topographical survey campaigns. The surveys will support an ongoing desktop study to identify the route to be utilized for the installation of the interconnector cable. The cable corridor to be investigated is in total 130km long and 500m wide.

The survey operation will be conducted by MMT survey vessel IceBeam, length 40 metres. The vessel is fully equipped for survey activities in water depth between 10 - 250 metres. The survey set-up is optimal for the proposed survey area, with a maximum water depth of 145 meters.
