Survey Contract for Project Nemo22/06/2010 |
| MMT has recently been awarded a contract for Seabed Survey & Seasoil Sampling for the proposed Electrical Interconnector between UK and Belgium. The project is called ‘Project Nemo'. The project is being jointly developed by Elia Asset and National Grid International Ltd. (NGIL). The purpose of the survey is to determine the ecological, ground conditions and installation for the design and installation of the interconnector cable. |

Demo of RIEGL Airborne Bathy Scanner in Camcopter UAV

It's not an AUV but a UAV. So an unmanned vehicle, but in the air instead of underwater. This movie shows a demonstration of the bathymetric laser scanning capabilities of the RIEGL VQ-820-GU hydrographic airborne sensor in reality. The scope of the contract includes Geotechnical, Geophysical, Benthic and Topographical survey campaigns. The surveys will support an ongoing desktop study to identify the route to be utilized for the installation of the interconnector cable. The cable corridor to be investigated is in total 130km long and 500m wide.
