Appointment at GeoAcoustics

On 27th September Dr Tom Hiller was appointed as business development manager at GeoAcoustics, A KONGSBERG company based in Great Yarmouth, UK. His main responsibility will be getting feedback from customers and the Kongsberg Maritime sales teams regarding how they can make the sonar even more competitive and developing good relationships with key customers to better know their future plans.

GeoAcoustics integrating into the wider Kongsberg Maritime family the company has recognised that a vital task is to improve co-ordination of the engineering and marketing effort, with a view to the longer term and what future products will be required. At the same time co-ordinating mid- and long-term product plans with KM sister technology companies and the worldwide sales organisations is key to keeping the product range current.
‘It is very exciting to be in this new position at Kongsberg's GeoAcoustics offices' added Tom, ‘we have seen steady progress with the integration and co-operative development projects since the acquisition by KM of GeoAcoustics in September 2008, and now we are starting to see results in the both the product quality and in the marketing effort that the worldwide KM sales offices are applying to our products. I am particularly looking forward to working alongside Ralf Timm, VP Sales at GeoAcoustics, ensuring the success of our sonar systems in all our markets.'
