Alphatron to Run ECDIS Training21/03/2011 |
| Alphatron Marine ( Netherlands) is to run Transas and Alphatron Equipment Familiarisation Courses from their new training centre in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The training centre is equipped with the latest version of Alphabridge/Transas ECDIS equipment and a bridge simulator. According to the quality concept of GET-Net, a maximum of eight trainees at a time are able to attend. This small group concept guarantees learning success and an effective use of the ECDIS. |

Besides the operational use of the ECDIS software, Alphatron will be able to teach the trainees all relevant chart handling operations such as loading of charts, updates and licenses.

It's not an AUV but a UAV. So an unmanned vehicle, but in the air instead of underwater. This movie shows a demonstration of the bathymetric laser scanning capabilities of the RIEGL VQ-820-GU hydrographic airborne sensor in reality.
