Live Underwater Action for MacArtney

  28/03/2011
The MacArtney Underwater Technology Group, Denmark, will be conducting diver demonstrations of underwater cameras and live comparison of sonar technologies at the Ocean Business exhibition, with presentations in the test tank, at the dockside, in the classroom and on the exhibition stand.

At the “Lights, camera, action!” session in the test tank on Wednesday 6th April at 15:00 and on Thursday 7th April at 12:00, divers will be demonstrating the MacArtney LUXUS P1 video unit live.

While at the dockside on Tuesday 5th April at 15:30 and the following day at 10:30, a “What’s below?” demonstration will feature a Kongsberg Mesotech scanning sonar and a DIDSON sonar working side by side to perform a recovery procedure.

In the classroom at the Students Centre on Tuesday at 12:30 MacArtney will present a first-hand account of real life experiences using the MacArtney TRIAXUS high speed undulating ROTV. On Thursday at 09:00 at the Students Centre focus will be on using DIDSON sonar for fish stock monitoring.

At all of our live demonstrations, experts will be on hand to explain the systems and answer questions.

MacArtney specialists will be available throughout the exhibition to talk about the group’s underwater technology system capabilities on stand B1. They will be showing the FOCUS ROTV survey system plus the NEXUS MKE, the scanning sonar used in the demonstrations, many different cables and SubConn® connectors.

For further information, contact Hans Jørgen Hansen at MacArtney A/S on hjh@macartney.com or visit Ocean Business 2011 stand B1.
