See Mini Lux Fluorometer Demos

  05/04/2011
Justin Dunning will be demonstrating Chelsea’s range of miniature, multi-wavelength Lux fluorometers on board RV Callista during Ocean Business. These fluorometers can be configured to measure a wide range of oceanographic parameters including chlorophyll-a, turbidity, dissolved organic matter and tryptophan.

“Since their launch last year, over 150 Lux fluorometers are in use, having been snapped up by researchers in both the oceanographic and freshwater communities”, said Justin Dunning, Sales Manager.

The most popular application to date has been dye tracing and oil in water monitoring. The Lux range of fluorometers has recently been augmented with a range of accessories which allow these small fluorimeters to used in almost any deployment scenario.

The Chelsea team will also be demonstrating the versatile Fast Repetition Rate Fluorometer system. Applications for this system now include primary productivity measurements, coastal monitoring, iron fertilization experiments, algal bloom monitoring and the protection of water supplies against accidental or deliberate contamination.  In addition, development of our new FASTact system greatly simplifies the automation of laboratory-based experiments including the running of fully automated light curves.

To book your place on one of these in-water demonstrations or arrange a meeting on Stand No: T8, please contact Ellen Keegan.
