| At Ocean Business 2011, Ashtead Technology (UK) announces investments totalling USD2.25 million in new high-technology rental equipment from leading manufacturers including R2Sonic, Tritech, Ixsea and Sonardyne. |

Included in the USD2.25 million order are R2Sonic MultibeamEcho sounders, Ixsea GAPS and PHINS Positioning and Navigation Systems, Tritech Gemini 300m Imaging Sonar, Sonardyne Ranger Pro2 USBL positioning systems, Reson 7125 Multibeam Sonar and Hydro-Lek pan and tilt camera booms.
Further to this investment, Ashtead Technology have recently expanded into the Middle East and Australasia regions and opened new calibrationfacilities in Singapore and Aberdeen, UK, and shortly in Houston, USA.
Commenting on the investment, Mark Derry, Ashtead Technology offshore managing director said “We are starting to see the market pick up and in order to support our subsea clients we endeavour to continue provide them with one of the world’s largest and newest fleets of subsea rental equipment. This USD2.25 million order will provide our clients with the latest positioning, navigation and imaging technology available in the market, available when and where they require it, fully calibrated and backed by 24 hour technical support for complete peace of mind.”
