The Gala Dinner: a Wonderful Evening at the Guildhall

  07/04/2011
The Ocean Business Gala Dinner, exclusively sponsored by Sonardyne, took place last night, 6th April, at the Southampton Guildhall, UK. It was a fine location. With over 450 guests (and a waiting list!), very enjoyable live music and a three-course menu that included some well selected wines, this event was most definitely not to be missed.

Passionata

The evening started with a drink with musical accompaniment of the Vernon Sisters, existing of three real sisters. Their elder sister is also part of the family business, being the manager of the group. After everyone had taken place on the tables, the four female vocalists of Passionata entertained the audience with an impressive fusion of classical, opera, and rock. The last perfomance on the main stage was from Tenors Un Limited, who managed to amuse the hall with their unique blend of wit, charm and vocal arrangements and even brought Margo Newcombe of Teledyne RD Instruments on stage.

Also brought on stage were Versha Carter and her team from Intelligent Exhibitions, who undoubtedly deserve the credits for this excellent organised evening. The Gala Dinner was an event without any dissonance, thanks to the professional team who made this all possible. Truly an evening to remember.

The evening ended in an informal way with another performance of the Vernon Sisters and a beer or a good glass of wine. The Gala Dinner in the fairytale setting of the Southampton Guildhall was an event absolutely worth visiting, actually a true must!
