AXYS Technologies Launch Ocean Renewables

  23/05/2011
The Ocean Renewables brand brings AXYS' existing array of offshore renewable energy assessment and monitoring systems together under a single brand, enabling clients in this sector to get a full overview of their range of options.

"The last three years have seen a substantial increase in demand for our monitoring and assessment buoys from the renewable energy sector," says Don Bryan, Marine Systems manager at AXYS. "We are seeing companies use our solutions to monitor data for the entire life cycle of a project, from the initial assessment phase, through construction and into the ongoing monitoring of the site. Many clients, however, may not have been aware of the full range of solutions that we provide so it made sense to profile them all together under one brand."

"Many clients for our WindSentinel wind resource assessment system are not aware that we can also supply wave and current buoys and provide deployment and service support," says Graham Howe, international business development for Renewable Energy at AXYS. "The AXYS Ocean Renewables brand now gives a single identity to this range of products and reflects our 30 years of expertise in this area."

AXYS will be exhibiting at the AWEA Windpower Conference with Catch the Wind at booth 933 from 22nd to 25th May in Anaheim, California, as well as at EnergyOcean International in Portland, Maine, from 14th to 16th June in booth 13.
