UTEC Survey Australia Pty has mobilised the 24-metre geophysical survey catamaran, MV Calypso Star, on a long term basis to support geophysical survey operations in North and North West Australia. The vessel is currently performing survey operations to Oil & Gas clients in the Timor Sea with expected completion in late August 2011 in Exmouth.

The Calypso Star is equipped with an array of geophysical survey equipment, including a high resolution R2Sonics multibeam echo sounder coupled with a DMS3-05 motion sensor, Edgetech 4200 Digital Side scan sonar, reflection seismic and onboard processing capabilities.
