| Black Laser Learning has opened the registration for their live, two-day side-scan sonar training seminar for law enforcement personnel scheduled for January 2012. Open to law enforcement and marine rescue personnel, the event is being organised in cooperation with the Lowndes County Sherriff's office and will be held at Valdosta, Lowndes County, Georgia, USA, on 11th and 12th January 2012. |

Participants can expect day one of the event to be spent in the classroom, learning the principles of sonar operations, with laymen's explanations of procedures and example sonar images. Day two will consist of hands-on training on the water including simulated drowning victim location, crime scene/accident mapping, and other law enforcement sonar techniques. Certificates will be issued upon completion.
