Unique Maritime Group of UAE has recently delivered two Echoscope 3D sonar to DI-MEDCO, a joint venture between Dredging International and Middle East Dredging Company, for the planned shore protection and harbour construction works of two artificial islands.

Echoscope for Dredging International

The Echoscope, produced by CodaOctopus Products, is a sonar capable of producing real-time 3D imagery, enabling the operators of visualise underwater activity in 3D even in zero-visibility conditions. This latest delivery adds to Dredging International’s existing pool of Echoscope systems, further enabling the company to increase the efficiency of its operations.

Demo of RIEGL Airborne Bathy Scanner in Camcopter UAV

It's not an AUV but an UAV. So an unmanned vehicle, but in the air instead of underwater. This movie shows a demonstration of the bathymetric laser scanning capabilities of the RIEGL VQ-820-GU hydrographic airborne sensor in reality.
