The Gold Coast of Australia will serve as the backdrop for the first official Global AiA event, dubbed AiAiA (ADCPs in Action in Australia). This event will be co-hosted by UVS Pty, Ltd, TRDI’s long-standing local representative, and will take place on 8-9 October 2012. This inaugural two-day event will be focused on TRDI’s Marine Measurements products for coastal and deep ocean current profiling and waves measurement applications. UVS is currently accepting submissions for speakers, sponsors and attendees.
In addition to AiAiA, TRDI anticipates a Global AiA event to take place in October 2012 in India, hosted by its representative ASB, and discussions are also underway for a future event in China.

Demo of RIEGL Airborne Bathy Scanner in Camcopter UAV |
It's not an AUV but an UAV. So an unmanned vehicle, but in the air instead of underwater. This movie shows a demonstration of the bathymetric laser scanning capabilities of the RIEGL VQ-820-GU hydrographic airborne sensor in reality. For more information on the technical side, please see the news release on Hydro International.
