Post-processing Solutions at Northeast Lidar Workshop11/07/2012 |
| Blue Marble Geographics' Director of Product Management, Sam Knight, gave presentations at NOAA’s Northeast Regional Ocean Council’s Northeast Lidar & Sea Level Rise Impacts Workshop on 10 and 11 July 2012 in Portland, USA. Knight focuses on post-processing of Lidar data with the Blue Marble Desktop and Global Mapper. The talk demonstrates the latest Lidar post-processing tools for coping with these challenges in the software. |

Both tools have powerful features for preparing data and analysing it, whether it be in transforming the elevations between geoid models, processing the high volumes of point cloud data into manageable chunks, or deriving terrain surfaces and performing watershed and sea level rise analysis.
Blue Marble’s geospatial data manipulation, visualisation and conversion solutions are used worldwide by thousands of GIS analysts at software, oil and gas, mining, civil engineering, surveying, and technology companies, as well as governmental and university organisations. Demo of RIEGL Airborne Bathy Scanner in Camcopter UAV |
It's not an AUV but an UAV. So an unmanned vehicle, but in the air instead of underwater. This movie shows a demonstration of the bathymetric laser scanning capabilities of the RIEGL VQ-820-GU hydrographic airborne sensor in reality. For more information on the technical side, please see the news release on Hydro International.
