International Coastal Atlas Network (ICAN) Report Published

  27/07/2012
The final report of the ICAN 5 Workshop, held in Ostend, Belgium, in September 2011 is now available for download. ICAN is a network of more than 40 organisations from around the globe at local, regional, national or trans-national level (Africa and Caribbean) who have developed coastal and marine atlases which are used in a variety of ways.

ICAN is always looking for new members and is open for inquiries from any organisations interested in either developing a coastal atlas for their region or sharing an atlas that they have already created.

Demo of RIEGL Airborne Bathy Scanner in Camcopter UAV

It's not an AUV but an UAV. So an unmanned vehicle, but in the air instead of underwater. This movie shows a demonstration of the bathymetric laser scanning capabilities of the RIEGL VQ-820-GU hydrographic airborne sensor in reality. For more information on the technical side, please see the news release on Hydro International.
