Hydrographic surveying is the process of measuring and mapping beaches, shorelines and navigable bodies of water.
This movie considers the daily life of a company taking care of beach renourishment surveys, before- and after-dredge surveys, coastal monitoring surveys, hydrographic systems installation and training, magnetometer surveys, marine construction equipment/dredge positioning, underwater obstruction mapping, multibeam, side-scan sonar, single-beam dual frequency, sub-bottom profiles, tide gauges and volume calculations.

Demo of RIEGL Airborne Bathy Scanner in Camcopter UAV
It's not an AUV but an UAV. So an unmanned vehicle, but in the air instead of underwater. This movie shows a demonstration of the bathymetric laser scanning capabilities of the RIEGL VQ-820-GU hydrographic airborne sensor in reality.
