Flythrough Irish Continental Shelf

Flythrough showing the continental shelf off Ireland's coast. Mapping is accomplished by the INFOMAR project and its forerunner the Irish National Seabed Survey. This flythrough was made for a groundtruthing leg which was using a vibrocore to take cores from the seabed off the west and north west coast to investigate the glacial history of the area. This research can in turn be used to predict possible changes that may come about due to climate change in the future.
