Belgian High School Students Challenged for Marine Research

From 15 to 30 September 2015, Belgian classes from the 4th, 5th and 6th years of secondary education can register for a workshop in marine research. This year, there are 11 different workshops organised by a diversity of marine research groups. The workshops are planned between 1 October 2015 and 1 March 2016 at various locations in Flanders, in the laboratory or on the field. After participating in the workshops and the research, the classes have to submit a scientific poster for the competition.

Three teams will be selected and invited to the 'Slothappening' (Final Event) in Ostend on 20 April 2016, when they can present their posters. Two finalists can win a diving initiation while the winner leaves from 10 to 13 May 2016 for a marine expedition abroad. These prices are offered by VLIZ with the support of Richting Morgen.
